Join us in celebrating the Cross Cultural Centers' graduating class of 2019! Four celebrations will take place at the end of the academic year, including the Asian Pacific Islander Desi American Grad Celebration, Black/Pan-African Grad Celebration, Queer Pride Grad Celebration, and Chicanx/Latinx/Raza Grad Celebration. These ceremonies and celebrations are great opportunities to acknowledge your academic achievements, honor your families, communities and other significant people in your lives, and to celebrate the cultural influences that have contributed to your academic success.
The Robert’s Rules training is designed for students who participate in organization operations. Robert’s Rules, which is also known as the parliamentary procedure, is used to govern, organize and install order to a diverse range of organizations. After completing this training, students will be ready to partake in rigorous but organized, highly productive meetings.
If you are interested in getting involved with the campus community and want to make a difference, running for office is the perfect chance to help get your voice heard. As a part of student government, students have the opportunity to network, gain leadership experience and be the voice for students. If elected, you will be able to help the students of Cal State LA by assisting with important changes on campus. This session will give you more information about ASI and how you can run an effective campaign.
During Spirit Week 2019, show off your office by decorating with Golden Eagles spirit or the Spirit Week theme! The first-place winners get free lunch catered by the University Club at their next staff meeting. Contestants are encouraged to maintain their decorations throughout the week, as judging will take place on Thurs., Feb. 7. Interest forms are due by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 1.
