The Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center (DRC) is here for you

Between the COVID-19 pandemic, unrest over racial inequality and the uncertain fate of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), these are certainly stressful times for our community.

Please know that the DRC team is here virtually to help in any way that we can. Use the resources on this page for support. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out at GFDRC@calstatela.edu.

U.S. Supreme Court DACA Decision

The U.S. Supreme Court rejected the Trump administration's effort to end Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA). The program is safe for now and we expect the court’s decision to allow:

  • First-time DACA applications
  • Advance parole applications
  • DACA renewals

To learn more about how the court’s decision could affect DACA, visit our FAQ.

Immigration Legal Services

If you are considering applying for DACA for the first time, applying for advance parole or renewing your existing DACA status, we encourage you use the free immigration legal services available through the DRC.

These services, provided by the Central American Resource Center (CARECEN), are available to Cal State LA students, faculty, staff and their family members. Meet the CARECEN legal team.

To schedule a consultation, email GFDRC@calstatela.edu.

For financial assistance with the DACA renewal fee and passport photos, email GFDRC@calstatela.edu.

Dreamers Emergency Funding

Emergency funds are available for undocumented students at Cal State LA who experience unforeseen emergencies that hinder their ability to complete the academic program:
