The Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center promotes the success of undocumented students at Cal State LA through a variety of resources, services and community engagement opportunities. We strive to create a welcoming environment where undocumented students can grow, flourish and succeed.
As you may know, a recent decision by a federal judge has temporarily revived the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and, as a result, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is once again accepting DACA renewal applications.
The Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center, working closely with the Office of the Vice President for Student Life, is assisting students with the cost of submitting a DACA renewal request.
If you are interested in assistance with your DACA renewal fee, stop by the Office of the Vice President for Student Life and complete a “Request for Payment/DACA Renewal Fee” form. Please bring your student identification and Employment Authorization Document (EAD) with you.
Please be aware that:
If your DACA status expired after September 5, 2017, you are urged to complete and submit a DACA renewal application as soon as possible.
If your DACA status expired before September 5, 2017, or your DACA was previously terminated, you may file a new initial DACA request in accordance with the Form I-821D and Form I-765 instructions. You must list the date your prior DACA expired or was terminated, if available, on Part 1 of the Form I-821D.
DACA recipients interested in renewing their applications are encouraged to speak with an attorney. For information and eligibility requirements, visit the Consideration of Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) More DACA resources can be found at www.E4FC.org, https://unitedwedream.org,and at www.NILC.org.
We recognize that these are challenging times. The Glazer Family Dreamers Resource Center is available to help. We also have Peer Mentor Advisors and Interns available for assistance.
